Nature Still Life in Oils – Pattern packet coming soon!

A tip for blending oils. Blending a Large Container such as the vase in the picture above. First, blend between the values using an x motion over the line created by the value separation. Second, take a mop or a deerfoot brush and pounce it lightly all over. Make sure you wipe the brush between values so that you do not carry that value to an incorrect area of the painting. After pouncing it you can lightly mop it.

Tip for any medium
 Loewcornelltransfer
After tracing your pattern to your piece go over lightly with a kneaded eraser to remove excess graphite. I like to use Loew Cornell Transfer paper which is waxless, greaseless, smudge proof, erasable and will not bleed through paint. This transfer paper is good for any medium.
